Details: Zombie falls in love; Musical ensues.

Story:
The musical Zombie Love tells the story of Dante, a 200 year old zombie, who falls in love with Claudia, a mortal girl, after he saves her from an attack by two grave robbers. Thinking that a zombie could never win her love, he changes his flesh-eating ways in order to win the girl of his dreams. The closer Dante gets to his desired love, the harder he finds it to maintain the facade, especially when his zombie friends encourage him to eat a teenage girl they have captured. What Dante doesn't know, however, is that Claudia is already in love with the zombie that saved her from the robbers and desperately tries to find him. This musical extravaganza, filled with singing, dancing, blood and gore, will have you laughing all the way to your grave!

Running Time:
37 Minutes

'The 40 Year Old Virgin' + "Little Shop of Horrors' = 'Zombie Love!'
What a movie!

1) ACTING: No problems here. Everyone knew their roles and were very comfortable with them. The singing was great as well. The cast seemed very comfortable with each other. I found the actor that played Dante to be very charismatic.

2) PRODUCTION: I have seen multi million dollar Hollywood productions that were not done as well as this movie was! For a small little indie film, the production values are very high. Lighting, costumes, make up, filming;all were done very well. It was a pleasant surprise from the usual indie, low budget fare.

3) THE ZOMBIES: The zombies in this movie, while still the usual flesh eating creatures, are more reminiscent of vampires. They are capable of independent thought, and have been around for hundreds of years. I guess that I have never thought of how long a zombie could actually be around. I suppose that if they continue getting "food," they could be around indefinitely. The zombies here would loosely be classified as "Snyder Runners," as they are very able bodied and do get around very well, let alone sing and dance!

4)THE CAUSE: No cause for the zombies is mentioned.

5) NUDITY: None.

Where shall I begin? First and foremost, (and most importantly, to fans of the zombie genre) this movie is not your typical zombie movie. If you are looking for normal zombie fare, you will need to look elsewhere. This is a wonderful, fun filled, romantic comedy. If you are a fan of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' or 'Little Shop of Horrors' (the musical), then this movie is for you! It reminded me a lot of the struggles that the two leads in 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' had in getting together. This was definitely a new take on the zombie movie genre, (a romantic musical) and it succeeds with flying colors. My only complaint was that it ended much too soon, clocking in at less than 45 minutes. But, in that small amount of time, the writers have crafted a story with a beginning, middle and end. I would highly recommend this as a must see movie!
